Initial Registration from the Nurses Board of Victoria
It is an initial process to obtain Nurses Board Registration in Australia. Any overseas Nurse with a three year Diploma or Degree in nursing with 6 months or above experience with registration in any State Nursing Board in India with an IELTS Academic Seven band (Speaking-7, Writing-7, Reading-6.5 and Listening-6.5) or OET B in each module is eligible for Registration if the following documents are submitted.
·         Passport size Photograph (2 nos).
·         Application fees to IA RS: 5000.
·         A Curriculum vita (bio-data).
·         Duly filled NBV Application form and application Fee AUD: 145 in the name of Nurses Board of Victoria.
·         Verification form directly to be sent by the nursing council of you is currently registered to Nurses Board of Victoria.
·         Original IETLS result to be sent by the exam board to the Nurses Board of Victoria.
·         Copy of Experience letter from present employer and previous employers
·         Copy of initial and current nursing registration certificate / license.
·         Copy of nursing, degree/ diploma certificates, mark sheets, transcripts and course completion certificate.
·         Copies of Plus Two certificates and mark sheets.
·         Copies of 10th certificates and mark sheets.
·         Copies of IELTS or OET certificate.
·         Copy of birth certificate (optional).

On verification of the documents, the candidates will be issued Initial Registration by the Nurses Board of Victoria.
Overseas Nurses Pre Registration Program
Based on the Initial Registration letter, the candidates are expected to complete this training program in centers approved by NBV. The purpose of this 12 weeks course is to provide overseas qualified nurses and Australian nurses who have no practice for 5 years or more, a specific period of training to adapt to the nursing policies of Australia. This includes a period of supervised clinical practice and theory of nursing studies. On successful completion of this program, nurses will get registration with Nurses’ Board of Victoria and become eligible to work in Australia. IA will assist candidates to get admission in the program and visa processing.
Employment in Australia
Based on the Initial Registration letter, the candidates are expected to complete this training program in centers approved by NBV. Successful completion of this program enables overseas-educated nurses to register with the Nurses board of South Australia and practice as a registered nurse in the Australian Health care system. Students in this program will undertake clinical placements in Major Metropolitan and regional hospitals. The program also incorporates English Language and academic study skills. To complete the program successfully students are required to, achieve a pass for the Occupational English Test (OET) with B grade in reading, listening, writing and speaking as part of the course in Australia itself, a pass in the nursing theory examination and demonstrate clinical competency for a registered nurse as a identified by the Australian nursing Council. The programs usually commence in May and October each year. The duration of this program is 6 months

Bachelor Of Nursing Graduate Entry[Jobs for Science Graduates, ANMs, GNMs with IELTS 6/6.5]
Through this program, a 3-year bachelor degree or diploma holder in science subjects or Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery (ANM) & Diploma Nurses can convert his/her degree into Australian bachelor of nursing degree in 2 years. On successful completion of this program, students will get direct registration in Australian nursing council and can work as a registered nurse in Australia. Candidates with nursing back ground will get extra credit in each semester and they get more relaxed study opportunities. Intake in this program is in February and July each year.


Entry Requirements
·         Candidates with IELTS Academic overall band score of 6.5 with minimum of 6 get admission in Melbourne (Victoria) and Canberra (Capital Territory) in February and July. Bachelor Of Nursing Post Registration And 6 Months Pre Registration Course[Jobs for Diploma/B.Sc Nurses with IELTS overall 6]
Through this program overseas Registered Nurses can convert his/her degree in to Australian bachelor degree in 18 months. Nurses with IELTS 6 will get admission to Bachelor of Nursing Post Registration Program with one year duration. On successful completion of the program students become eligible to get admission in six months pre registration course. Sometimes, duration of the pre registration course may extend up to one year based on their previous study and experience. For getting admission in pre registration course, Candidates would require to attain an IELTS score of 6.5 with no band less than six or OET B Grade in two modules and C grade in other 2 modules within the first one year course. Nurses with IELTS 6.5 gaining admission in bachelor of nursing post registration course also should have validity in their IELTS to get admission in pre registration course. This program is designed as two different programs of one year and six month duration, Candidates will not get family visa during the course.
